Scope of practice
Naturopaths are not registered or licensed in Virginia.
How to file a complaint
The Virginia Department of Health regulates physicians via the Office of Licensure and Certification (OLC). Anyone can file a complaint against a naturopath practicing medicine without a license. Complaints should include:
- Your name, telephone number, and address. Anonymous reports must be made in writing.
- The name and address of the medical care entity being reported
- Provide a detailed summary of concerns
