The American Association of Naturopathic Physicians states that naturopaths in Ohio aim to licensing legislation in 2019.
Scope of practice
Naturopaths are not registered or licensed in Ohio. The title “nutritional counselor” is protected and cannot be used by naturopaths who offer nutritional advice to clients.
How to file a complaint
Physicians are regulated by the Ohio State Medical Board. The board explicitly states that they will investigate any complaints against a naturopath practicing in the state. Anyone may file a complaint through the online system. More information can be found on the board’s website.
