Scope of practice

Naturopaths are not registered or licensed in Kentucky. Naturopaths cannot use the title “doctor” in Kentucky.


History

In 2003, SB 217 was introduced by state Sen. Gary Tapp. SB 217 failed to make it out of the Senate Licensing, Occupations and Administrative Regulations Committee.


How to file a complaint

Physicians are regulated by the Kentucky Board of Medical Licensure. Anyone can file a complaint against a naturopath practicing medicine without a license by filing out a grievance form and mailing it to:
